Frosted Colored P95 Cast Acrylic

Description

P-95 frosted cast acrylic is cell-cast acrylic sheet with a matte finish on one side and a smooth gloss finish on the other. It is offered in black and in two whites. The black is opaque. The whites are translucent and let a small amount of light through, so they can be backlit for signs and illuminated panels, with the matte face diffusing the light and cutting glare.

The matte side gives a softer look than fully glossy sheet and makes fingerprints and minor handling marks less noticeable. Like other cast acrylic, it is about half the weight of glass, stays rigid, and machines and forms well with proper tools. The sheet is UV stabilized for indoor and outdoor use. The 1⁄8″ sheet measures about 0.118″ (3 millimeters) thick.

Both sides are covered with removable paper masking to protect the sheet during handling and fabrication.

Fabrication and Handling Notes

P-95 cast acrylic can be sawed, drilled, routed, engraved, CNC machined, cemented, painted, printed, and thermoformed using methods suited to acrylic. Use sharp tools, steady feed rates, and good support to limit chipping, heat buildup, and stress during machining.

Leave the masking on during layout and fabrication, then remove it before installation or display. Clean with mild soap, water, and a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh solvents, and use only acrylic cleaners suitable for matte finishes.
