Description

Transparent fluorescent acrylic is cell-cast acrylic sheet in bright fluorescent colors that gather light inside the sheet and release it at the edges. Cut edges, engraved lines, and routed grooves give off a neon-like glow, strongest when the sheet is lit from behind. Signs, displays, decorative panels, and creative fabrication projects are common uses.

The sheet is transparent with a smooth gloss finish, and both sides are masked to protect it during handling and fabrication. Remove the masking before final installation. Fluorescent colors are for indoor use only; they are not UV stabilized and are not intended for outdoor exposure.

Fabrication and Handling Notes

Use tools and techniques intended for acrylic, support the sheet well, and let blades and bits cut at their own pace to avoid chipping, cracking, or heat buildup. Edge finish affects how the glow looks: a sanded and buffed or flame-polished edge shows a cleaner, more even glow than a rough saw cut.

Clean with mild soap, lukewarm water, and a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive pads, ammonia-based cleaners, and solvents, which can haze, craze, or scratch the sheet.
